This is real talent and you best believe
that we straight up wearing our hearts on our sleeves
it's all ways been a dream that we need to succeed
so turn up the volume let the speakers bleed ( Chorus )

so first things first let me make this clear
B.T F.Dot 2 Fresh is right here
don't nobody know what our purpose is
is it worthless or worth to sign this kid?
let me remind you of this
every time that i spit
anybody in their right mind will find this sick
i know it's hard to believe that we're just started.
now we here for one reason to show what we all about
that's right 'motherfucker' we be back in the lab
back to the pen, back-back-back to the pen
back to the base just to give the game a face
just face it your wasting my time and my patience
i've waited so long for this day to come
i think i might as well stay in front
coz i'm a beast on the beat
i spit heat when i speak
and i feast on MC's that seem to be weak
and trust me they don't really want to see that
every time that we rap this is how they re-act
make them all re-lapse, like their getting free crack
make them stu-stu-stutter tryna get their speech back
i know you love it how i can switch it at the drop of a dime
go from sick quick flows to killer punch lines
all it takes it one time for me to prove myself
i ain't Eminem but go ahead and lose yourself
i'm bout to pull up and work this here
words so sincere i should get verse of the year.
and if doesen't go to me then it should go to F.Dot
we combine our minds and come up with the best plot
2 Canadian boys, with Canadian Dreams, Canadian bloodline
we're Canadian it seems.
Don't have to say i murder, rob and steal.
i just say whats on my mind, not get singed with a deal
everything i do is real, i ain't make belief
till the day that i die, rap the make belief

Thats 2 Fresh,
2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh,
2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, Yeah man.

2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh,
2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, Yeah man.

This is real talent and you best believe
that we straight up wearing our hearts on our sleeves
it's all ways been a dream that we need to succeed
so turn up the volume let the speakers bleed ( Chorus )

Yeah i'm hot when i'm cold. coz i'm on fire.
background singers, yh where's my choir?
the metaphors are sick and the range is right.
pass me the torch, now pass me the light
i work 7 to 5 so i can get paid
i like to quit my job and rap everyday
 but its not that simple
gotta pay for the boot
instead i end Kenny this is my sweet tooth
mouth is all filled up with cavities
and i spit so hard that my gums start to bleed
i've never been a fan of writing down 'shit'
so im stacking of my words like im stacking on my chips
i wanna be baker so i can bake bread
ill say it on a hook 10 steps ahead
yh you think coz i rap that i wanna be black
if those are your thoughts then give yourself a smack
coz i do it for the love and passion i've acquired
so go ahead and call me a liar, liar
but until i retire im gonna spit fire
coz hip-hop music is the one i desire
inspite my mind keeps taking me higher (?)
this is just something that i simply require
so what the 'fuck' do you know about me?
i open up doors with the master key
agree or disagree im a mean MC
and i do my own stunts you can call me Jet Li
let me prove to y'all that this is real skill
call me James Bond because my rhymes should kill
the flow is die hard and you know we goin pray
John McClane, will say Yippee ki-yay
you could even call me the crawled kid (?)
wax on wax off its me i e said (?)
when i start to rap i just get that feel
i can jump so high i can touch the ceiling.
and i fold in the end and never come down
when the beat stops im back on the ground

2 Fresh,
2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh,
2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, 2 Fresh, Yeah man.

Key themes of song:

These new artist believe that they have real talent, unlike other famous signed artists, as they have good meaningful lyrics that actually make sense are not just repeated lyrics or things that don't make sense, they are trying to get noticed as they have 'real talent' i also agree with this as they actually are quite good and make sense from what they are saying, they are trying to promote themselves by saying that they are worth signing as they will make it big as their dream is to make it big and have success. They are saying that they do not fail or stutter on free-styles and are better than most famous artist of our time.

Meaning of lyrics:

don't nobody know what our purpose is
is it worthless or worth to sign this kid?

I selected this part from the first verse which comes in fairly quickly at the start of the song, i think that the meaning of this lyrics is trying to say that they are unknown and unsigned and that no one really knows what they are doing, or 'what their purpose is'. This gives us an insight into what the artists are thinking, and the 2nd section of the verse is asking a rhetorical question by saying if they are worth signing or not, due to the fact that they are not singed at the moment,, this rhetorical question of course has a obvious answer, they are making this song to spread their popularity and the obvious answer would be to 'sign' them.

but until i retire im gonna spit fire
coz hip-hop music is the one i desire

This section from the artist suggests that he will always be making 'good' songs and they intend to succeed in the hip-hop music industry and hope that they can continue what they are doing. The section about them 'retiring' is an metaphor to say until they stop making hip-hop music they will always continue making songs like this with 'amazing' lyrics that connotes to 'fire' in the hip-hop / rap part of music, that the lyrics are very good.

Music/beat analysis:

The music suits the lyrics, as it is a fast-paced, 'rap' beat with a lot of BPM, and also a 'garage' 'gritty' feel to it, which connotes that it is made through a computer software in a house or basement. However the audio quality is very good, and it allows for the lyrics to suit the beat, they interlink with each other. The impact that the music has it that is adds more depth to the lyrics, and adds an effect that seems to make the lyrics stand out as they are said on par with the beat, and so the 'word' 'lyric' is brought out into the front and it emphasized, this makes the lyrics stand out more, and allow the artist to drive the meaning of the lyrics to the audience in a more easier way, through a bass-heavy beat. There are also drums, and cymbal and a tube for the bass. The impact that the music has is that it makes the audience learnt the lyrics quite easily, as the beat is quite catchy and makes you also go along with the beat, i found myself tapping or head bopping to the beat.

Analysing tempo:

The tempo of the song is very quick, due to the beat being fast and is a electronic background, and also the artist are rapping over it, so it is a fast - paced song, the beat is very catchy and the lyrics also seem to make it seem faster, as they are said very quickly.

How will you apply to own music video? ( M-E-S, camera language , editing ) :

I was personally thinking of doing a narrative based music video, as the music denotes that it will be in a 'urban' section of a city, and i was thinking that we do a simple way, of just a person walking through streets, of housing estate's and going to different places to film them walking in different locations so that we can edit them in when we cut to the beat, so that the audience have something different to look at every time there is a cut, however this might be a problem as the beat of the song is very quick and there is a lot of beats per minute, so this would require us to go to a lot of locations and there will be outtakes as we have to make it perfect so it could be very time consuming, and also of we cannot find places to go to, or we don't have enough time for it then we may have to use the same locations which could get boring to the audience a while, and also if we were to go to different locations, this would also mean that the character would have to change their costume, to make it visually appealing to the audience. The camera language would be tracking shots, as the camera would be in front, showing the character walk and if the character can also lip sync this would make it seem as if the artist is singing the song as they are walking, the editing would have to be very good, as we need to link each section of the song, when the character is lip syncing. There would be a lot of close-ups, and medium close ups. The angle would most probably be eye-level to show the audience the 'artist' or character. The editing will be cut to the beat, fast-paced as the beat demands it, and also possibly a few effects to make it seem more 'urban' and 'ghetto-ish' as this song feels like to could be played over a movie about gangsters or criminals where they live in a poor part of town. It seems like they are the type of people to enjoy this type of 'hip-hop' / 'rap' music.
